What once started out in the 1930's as the only place to get wheel and axle repairs in the City of Poughkeepsie as
"New York Auto Body Works" Bear Wheel Alignment. Donald Fishwick (Jeff's dad) tired of leasing a Mobil gas station and auto repair facility at 51 Montgomery Street , City of Poughkeepsie purchased New York Auto Body Works in 1969 and changed the name to "New York Auto Repair and Alignment Inc". Expanding the business to a complete auto repair service. Offering maintenance and repair service along with towing service. Business expanded by leaps and bounds. Don's son Jeff came to work in the fall of 1976 and quickly learned to perform wheel alignments and general auto repair work. With Jeff's continuing learning and Don's training Jeff was well on his way to lead the business into the future. Spring of 1992 with oncoming of computers in automobiles Don decided instead of relearning, now might be a good time to retire. Don sold the business to Jeff and Jeff started a whole new book for New York Auto Repair and Alignment Inc.  Now with four full time technicians ( one Tyler Fishwick, Jeffs son) New York Auto Repair and Alignment is ready to repair or maintain you car, suv or light truck vehicle.
